Frisbee Fun!
It would be an understatement to say that Moose and Maui love their frisbee. . . It is hands-down the favorite toy in the house. We frequently play frisbee on the weekends, but clearly have not been playing through the winter. So, today was a special day for the pups. . .the first real frisbee adventure of the year (yay for the warm weather today!) Watching them play together is hilarious, Moose's mission is to run after the flying frisbee, grab it and bring it back to Phil. Maui on the other hand just wants to grab it away from Moose, but she really doesn't know what to do with it once she has it. Poor Moose gets a bit frustrated with his lil sis and gives her a good grumble every now and then, he really is a good sport though. Here's a few shots of their antics. . .

Maui is determined to get it off him!

Hurry up Maui!

And they're back. . .

Oops! Frisbee got stuck in the brush

Not ready to give it up :-)

Ouch! Lil Miss Broke a Nail
Miss Maui had a bit of a rough day yesterday, she broke a nail for the first time - quite painful for a little pup. We were on our way home from snowmobiling in NH when we noticed she had bent her nail back, and lets just say beginning of our trek home was a bit bloody :-( We stopped at a pharmacy, got some gauze and antibiotic cream and continued on our 6 hour trip home. Maui was such a trooper! When we got home, she let us cut off the severed part of the nail and bandage it all up with no more than a little grunt - quite a toughie she is :-)

So this is Christmas. . .
Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Whenever we're not in Aus for Christmas, we always spend Christmas eve at my Aunt and Uncle's house (dinner in our PJs. . .family tradition!) and the night/xmas morning at my parents. Lately, since there are no grandchildren in the family yet, Christmas is all about the puppies. . . .Moose, Maui, Lola and Rico are the most spoiled pups on the planet, as grandma and grandpa just love filling their stockings with goodies. Maui woke up xmas morning, ran to the mantel where the stockings were hanging and stood up on her back legs and just sniffed the air. Yup! it smells like christmas, little girl! We had a great morning opening pup and people stockings and presents. We then went on to my other Uncle's house for a fabulous dinner. . .boy am I stuffed!!!
So. . .here is a tiny little peek into our Christmas
Yes, the pups all have full sized stockings. . .spoiled!!
OK. Can I just say how hard it is to get 4 crazy puppies in one picture!! My desperate attempt at even getting one pup in focus!
And again. . .
A couple noteworthy stocking stuffers. . .
Moose is deathly afraid of the vet (who happens to be my Uncle). So Mom thought it would be very fitting to get this Vet "the victim" toy. . . try to read the description, it's hysterical. The back of him says "bite me" :-)
VIOLET CRUMBLES! Phil's most favorite candy. . . .it is the only truly Aussie "lolly" that can be found in american stores. . .honeycomb covered in chocolate. . .yummmmm.
"It's the way it shatters that matters"
My Uncle's gorgeous house sitting along a rushing river. Notice the black bear in the corner!!! :-)
Just a couple house details
This place looks like a lodge in Colorado. This is a shot from a light fixture in the great room.
Hope everyone had a great day!!!

NY State Fair + Brooks & Dunn
I'm just now catching up my blog from when Phil's parents were here. . . . .
Before we went to Niagara Falls, we stopped at the New York state fair in Syracuse and saw Brooks & Dunn in concert. The concert was amazing and the fair was great as well. . . It was very much like our "Big E" here in New England. Nothing like artery-clogging fair food! Coralie was blown away by the "millenium fries" (see pic below! :-)

This past week we took Phillip's parents to Niagara falls. I had never been myself, so it was quite fun! A long trip, but worth it. On the way there, we stopped in Syracuse New York and went to the state fair. Cotton Candy. . .Corn dogs. . .yum! We had an all around great time. Here are a few pics. . .more to come :-)
